Rockefeller Opposes Public Option by Reconciliation

Senator Jay Rockefeller, one of the stalwart supporters of the public option, has indicated that he does not support establishing the public plan through the reconciliation process. He says he feels sufficiently comfortable with the nonprofit options in the current Senate bill that a public option is not crucial. It is estimated that six other Democratic senators would not vote for the public option through reconciliation. You can read more from the Huffington Post here.
