New Poll Shows 60 Per Cent Want Public Option

A new Thomson Reuters poll shows that 59.9 percent of Americans would like a public option as part of any final healthcare reform legislation. 86 percent of Democrats support the public option, 57 percent of Independents and, yes, even 33 percent of Republicans. However, the poll also shows the public does not have much faith in reform's ability to bring down health care costs in the near term. Read about the Thomson Reuters poll here.
