Senate Defeats Rollback of Medicare Cut
By a vote of 58 to 42 Senate Democrats were able to defeat an amendment proposed by Sen. John McCain that would have removed nearly $500 billion in Medicare cuts that are the single largest source of funding for reform. AARP supports the cuts.You can read more from the Washington Post here.
