Pushback at Insurance Companies: President Speaks Up

Once the insurance companies decided to go after health care reform, they found the gloves may be coming off on the other side as well. Criticizing the insurers, formerly supporters of reform, for running ads against Congressional bills, the President warned, "Don't let them fool you. We're going to get this done. We're going to fight for it." Noting that the companies' stocks were dropping, he continued:
"This is when the insurance companies are really going to start gearing up. Their stock went down when the Senate Finance Committee voted out that bill. Now they're getting nervous and, by they way, they have been wildly profitable over the last decade."
