CBO Estimate of the Amended Senate Bill
Today the Congressional Budget Office released its study of the amended Senate health care reform bill, actually called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). It found that the amendments would increase the amount of reduction of the federal deficit by $2 billion by 2019, bringing the total deficit reduction for the period to $132 billion.
