73 Per Cent of Doctors Favor Public Option

A new survey by the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation and published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that 63 percent of the 2,100 doctors surveyed wanted a public option for their patients, and an additional 10 percent wanted a public option only (that is, a government-run single-payer system). The surveyors attributed much of this positive attitude toward government-run programs to be based on the doctors' experience with Medicare. You can read more about the survey here.
