J&C: Citizens in Action "Crossed the Line"

In Saturday's Journal and Courier the editorial board suggests that in its disruption of the health reform vigil (see below) sponsored by MoveOn.org, Organizing for America, and the Tippecanoe County Democrats , Citizens in Action "crossed the line" when it gathered at Riehle Plaza "with no other purpose than to disrupt the MoveOn.org rally."
"The group has had its own rallies, and those who oppose their views did not disrupt their events, shout down their speakers or blast air horns to drown out a speaker's points.

MoveOn.org had a constitutional right to rally. For that matter, so did Citizens in Action, which planned its gathering after learning of the MoveOn.org event.

But freedom of speech and freedom to gather require others to tolerate opposing views. Tolerating an opinion that one might disagree with is not condoning the opinion. It is respecting another person's rights and his freedom to disagree."
Citizens in Action, the editorial concludes, "bullied those who dared to believe differently from them." Exactly. Just as opponents have attempted to do all over the country.
