What Do Americans Think About Health Care Reform? NBC Poll Reveals

An NBC poll taken August 15 -17 reveals what American are thinking about healthcare reform. And it ain't pretty.

• 45 percent think the government will decide when to stop care for the elderly (or "unplug Grandma")
  
  
• 55 percent expect the overhaul will cover illegal immigrants
  
  
• 54 percent said the overhaul will lead to a government takeover of health care
  
  
• 50 percent expect taxpayer dollars will be used to pay for abortions

None of these things are true, of course, as the fact checking in this AP article demonstrates. But they're what half the population believes and what we all need to debunk!
