Uninsured Hoosiers Increase in 2009

According to a Gallup survey, the number of Hoosiers without health insurance grew from 14.7 percent in 2008 to 16.1 percent in 2009. As FishersDemo observes on Blue Indiana
This equates to approximately one out of every SIX Hoosier adults having no health insurance. Keep in mind that Seniors have Medicare, then the percentage of adults of working age who are without health insurance becomes mind-boggling.

In Massachusetts, with its health insurance mandate, only 5.5 percent lack health care coverage. You can see Gallup's nationwide survey here.
